New ARRI Product Releases: Skypanels, Wireless System, and Lanterns

09.15.2017 Industry

When it comes to stage lighting, ARRI is no doubt one of the heavy weights – and as such, what better way to celebrate their recent 100 year anniversary than to release more lighting products? The lighting manufacturer made several product release announcements this week, a day after its centennial anniversary.

The collection of releases is to be exhibited at IBC Show in Amsterdam, being held this weekend from Friday, September 15 – Tuesday, September 19, 2017. Let’s take a look at some of these new exciting releases.

 SkyPanel S360-C

The ARRI SkyPanel has always been known for its tremendous output and large light aperture. The new SkyPanel S360-C has expanded ARRI’s LED soft light range with the largest and brightest SkyPanel to date. Not only is the S360-C powerful, but it is packed full of exciting features, making it one of the most versatile LED fixtures on the market. Features include full color control, lighting effects on a huge aperture, wireless DMX built in, a unique carbon fiber yoke, and much more. The S360-C is truly a beast of a light.

SkyLink

Along with the new large SkyPanel release comes the SkyLink. ARRI and Innovative Dimmers have teamed up to create SkyLink: a two-part system that allows for wireless DMX and RDM communication to SkyPanels. The SkyLink Receiver and the SkyLink Base Station use LumenRadio for DMX/RDM communication and a WiFi chip in the Base Station allows for direct control from a DMX control application on a tablet or computer.

Lanterns for the Arri Skypanel S30 and S60

Last but not least, Chimera also released a new set of lanterns for the ARRI Skypanel S30 and S60. The SkyPanel Lanterns feature beautiful omnidirectional lighting for the popular Arri Skypanels. Chimera Lanterns are recognized for their ease of use and this lantern is no different. These lanterns provide easy control when placing light fixtures overhead. The included skirt easily attaches to enable control over the beam and spill. The skirt can be rolled up or down using the zippers and Velcro on all four sides to vary the beam spread from an omnidirectional source.
